The Batesville High School Wrestling team wrestled their final superdual meet of the season traveling to Frankton. The Bulldogs went 0-5 while being short handed with only 6 wrestlers competing on the day.
Batesville opened the day going 4-2 in individual matches with Tyler Schaeffer (132) Jt Linkel (145) Josh Mobley (152) and Nick Nobbe (160) picking up pins. Despite the effort the bulldogs lost 58-24.
Batesville then grappled the tournament champions Attica. Tyler Schaeffer picked up a pin while Josh Mobley received a forfiet in a 66-12 defeat.
Batesville then battled the host team Frankton going 4-1 in individual matches. Josh Mobley, Alex Murphy (113), and Tyler Schaeffer were able to win by pinned while Nick Nobbe received a forfiet in a 60-24 defeat.
Batesville went 4-1 in individual matches again against Madison Grant. Josh Mobley, Alex Murphy, and Tyler Schaeffer won my pin with Brandon Manning getting a forfiet. The bulldogs lost 54-24 as a team.
Batesville closed the day losing to Knightstown 69-6 with Josh Mobley winning by pin.
Batesville moves to 8-14. Josh Mobley led the team with 5 wins 4 coming by pin. Tyler Schaeffer fallowed behind with 4 wins all by pin. Batesville will close 2018 traveling to Switzerland County Thursday December 27th.
