The Batesville Wrestling team opened their season on Saturday November 21st in the annual Batesville 6-way. Teams participating include: Southwestern (Hanover), Brown County, Shelbyville, Knightstown, and Scottsburg. The Bulldogs had a challenging day with the small young team but came away with some great experience for all the competing wrestlers.

Southwestern 45, Batesville 18; Brown County 51, Batesville 18; Shelbyville 54, Batesville 12; Knightstown 83, Batesville 0; Scottsburg 60, Batesville 12.

Michael Deal 4-1, John Moody 4-1, John Vincent 1-2, Xavier King 1-2, Abram Garcia 1-4, Hunter Fetters 0-1, Miguel Ramirez 0-2, Chris Schene 0-5, and Mitchell Thomas 0-5.
The Bulldogs traveled to Jennings County for their first road trip of the year. Due to injuries the Bulldogs were only able to send just six wrestlers to compete in the match. Giving up 8 forfeits put Batesville behind 48 points befor the fisrt match was wrestled. The final score for the match was Jennings County 63 and Batesville 18.
Imdvidual match winners include: Micahel Deal, John Moody, and Mitchell Thomas. All three Bulldogs won by decisive pins earning 6 team points for each. Additional wrestlers competing include: Chris Schene, Xavier King, and Miguel Ramirez. John Vincent competed in a JV match winning by pin gaining some great experience with the team.
