The Batesville Girls Varsity Tennis team defeated Lawrenceburg 4-1 on Thursday to move to 7-0 on the season and 6-0 in the EIAC.
#1 Singles- Julia Hunter was defeated by Madeline McMullen 2-6, 6-4, 2-6
#2 Singles- Alana Pinckley defeated Amber Rickets 6-4 ,6-2
#3 Singles- Rachael Rose defeated Averi McMullen 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-1
#1 Doubles- Karsen Worthington and Macy Simon defeated Macy Morgan and Josie Denton 6-2, 6-1
#2 Doubles- Audrey Weigel and Anna Kick defeated Mirsten Mollaun and Amandalin Hensley 6-2, 6-1
All 18 JV players for Batesville saw action against Lawrenceburg, playing 13 total matches and winning 12. Winners in singles were Jenna Harmeyer, Hanna Pirch, Jenna Ertel, Kate Poltrack, Bea Amberger. Doubles winners were Mary Elkins/Grace Heppner, Chandni Patel/Jenna Harmeyer, Baylee Rohlfing/Maggie Schwettman, Corinne Stone/Sophie Brown, Audrey Amberger/Janvi Patel, and Tori Kurtz/Allie Shane. Caitlyn Broering Maggie Walsman played a great match but came up short losing 7-5 in the tiebreak. The JV is also a perfect 7-0 on the season.
Both teams will travel to South Dearborn to wrap up EIAC play Friday at 4:30.
