Bulldogs Win Road Opener Against Wildcats

Batesville traveled Saturday to Franklin County for their first away game of the season. The game started out with fast and aggressive soccer.

With 31.55 left on the clock in the first half Evan Vogelsang dribbled the defense and took a long low shot out of reach from the keeper. @18.32 Johnathan Lynch took a corner kick and Dominic Butz drove a header into the net for the second goal. @11.50 Ian Powers took a long shot towards the left post for the third goal. The first half ended 3-0.

The second half Franklin County began to come back with some fight and first scored on a free kick wide right which was taken around the 18 yard line. Then with 7:41 left in the game another long free kick was deflected off the keeper as he jumped back in the box and threw the ball out an opposing player was able to knock it in.
