Bulldogs Take Care Of Business Against Lions

Batesville faced off in their first conference game of the season against Rushville with a 6-0 win.

The first goal came @ 8.41 when Calvin Sherwood played a through ball to Ripperger who had a left footed one touch shot right outside of the keepers reach. The first half went holding the lead by a single goal. The Bulldogs worked on finding possession and began to take control of the game. Second half opened with energy and focus from the home team. @33.43 Johnathan Lynch played a ball up to Ripperger who turned and ripped a quick shot for the second goal. @29.10 Daniel crossed the ball in from the wing and Ripperger took a shot and it was deflected from a defender, then the loose ball was kicked into the goal by Johnathan Lynch. @28.15 Johnathan Lynch played a low cross and Ripperger finished to the near post. @20.40 Ian Powers took a corner kick and Dominic Butz attacked the ball out of the air for a driven header into the net. @16.20 Zach Harmeyer dribbled the ball from his own defense all the way through the opposing side and scored.

The Bulldogs finished the game 6-0 dominating possession on the field, winning their conference match. Next game is Saturday vs Franklin County.
