Batesville 7th grade suffered their first loss of the season to Greendale by a score of 34-30. Batesville got off to slow start trailing at the half 25-14. They continued to battle and fight all game, slowly closing the gap, but ultimately falling short. Scoring for the dogs was Carson Laker with 12, Grant Goldsmith 9, Jake Chapman 4, Jacob Stenger 3, and Cade Kaiser with 2. Batesville is now 6-1 on the season.
The 8th grade came out on top after a tough battle at Greendale with a final score of 33-28. The Bulldogs got behind early, trailing 11-7 after the first quarter. Deacon Hamilton, Carter Bohman, and Eli Loichinger provide a big spark off the bench by adding a lot of pressure defensively and making multiple hustle plays. Batesville was led in scoring by Jack Grunkemeyer with 7 points, followed by Chris Lewis (6), Conner Drake (6), Gus Prickel (5), Carter Bohman (4), Deacon Hamilton (3), and Sam Johnson (2). The Bulldogs move to 6-1 on the season.
