Bulldogs Results At Boys Track Sectionals-Host Trojans Team Champs

Batesville traveled to East Central Thursday night to compete in the 13 team boys track sectionals.  After a little bit of a rainy start, the drizzle stopped, cooled things off a little bit and the night was almost perfect for all the competitors. The Bulldogs showed some toughness right from the start as they ran a huge personal best in the 4 x 800m relay by 7 seconds and just outran East Central’s relay team by just under a half a second, being the first champion on the oval for the night.  They finished at 8:25.73 and was ran by, Joseph Choi, Quinten Gowdy, JJ Kuisel and Adam Moster.  Joshua Myers was the 2nd champion for Batesville in the 1600m run at 4:36.79 and then again in the 3200m run at 10:20.90. Congratulations to the Sectional Champs! The Dogs tied for 3rd with Lawrenceburg, both with a score of 82.  Leading the way and crowned as Sectionals Champions were the East Central trojans with an impressive 148.5 points.  They were followed by the Franklin County Wildcats at 119.83.  Top 3 from each event automatically qualify for the regionals, plus, the next fastest times or distances that feed into our regionals.
