The Batesville Bulldogs traveled to an away game against the Greenfield-Central Cougars winning 1-0.
The Bulldogs went into the match very determined to play organized team soccer, working well together off and on the ball. Despite many chances at goal from Greenfield and several close calls for Batesville, the first half ended scoreless. Batesville did a good job defending the pressure of Greenfield.
Second half Miles Bowser nicely back heeled the ball through the defense for Michael Ripperger to run on and touch into the net. The rest of the half continued with a great amount of pressure and possession by Greenfield and Batesville lost a bit of composure as that pressure swelled. We continued to deny every corner and every shot until the very end, winning the game 1-0.
