The Batesville Tennis Team competed in the Whiteland Invitational on Saturday and came home with a 1-2 record.
Batesville defeated Jennings Co. in the opening match, 5-0. In singles, winners were Henry Luchow, Nick Kirshner, and Beau Brown. The doubles teams of Dustin Nobbe and Blake Walsman, and Jacob Paul and Brett Westerfeld were also winners.
In the second match, Batesville was defeated by Shelbyville 4-1. Blake Walsman was the lone winner at #3 singles.
In the final match of the day, Whiteland defeatd Batesville 5-0.
Batesville is now 11-6 on the season and will play at Grennfield Central on Tuesday.
