The 7th Grade Batesville Bulldogs fell to South Decatur Tuesday night by a score of 41-37. The Bulldogs struggled to get anything going offensively and let some easy baskets go unanswered. Leading in scoring for Batesville was Jack Grunkemeyer with 13, Sam Johnson with 10 and Conner Drake with 7. Also scoring for Batesville were Brendan Heiser with 4, Gus Prickel with 2, and Chris Tillman added 1. The 7th grade Dogs are now 7-2 on the season.
The Batesville 8th Grade Basketball Team fell to South Dearborn 48-28. The Bulldogs got off to an early start up 6-3 before South Dearborn went on a 29-3 run to end the first half. The team continued to fight back second half with some big minutes from Trenton Kincade and Eric Garcia off the bench. The 8th Grade Team was led offensively by Jackson Renck with 10, followed by Lyle Oesterling (6), Bryson Bonelli (5), Grant Peters (3), Eric Garcia (2), and Will Sherwood (2). The Bulldogs move to 2-7 on the season heading into Milan.
