After a few long weeks without a game due to several postponements, the Batesville Freshman Basketball Team moved to 3-0 with a win against East Central on Thursday 28-11.
Jack Grunkemeyer led the team with 12 points followed by Conner Drake with 5; however, it was a team led effort that led to the third win of the season. Batesville Freshman boys will play Lawrenceburg today at 6 at home (12/11).

The Batesville Bulldogs 8th Grade Boys Basketball team traveled to Sunman-Dearborn Middle School and came out with a 36-33 victory.
The Bulldogs got off to a slow start trailing 14-7 after the first quarter. Batesville eventually settled in defensively and made it a 4 point deficit heading into halftime. The 8th-Grade team came out fired up in the second half and ran the floor very well which helped take a 28-26 lead heading into the 4th quarter. The final quarter was an intense back and forth finish, but Batesville ultimately made enough stops late and made enough free throws to close out the game with a victory.
Batesville was led offensively by Cade Kaiser with 17 points, followed by Will Jaisle (8), Gage Pohlman (5), Grant Goldsmith (2), Carson Schneider (2), and Jacob Stenger (2).
The Bulldogs move to 6-1 on the season heading into the final week of games before winter break.
