Bulldogs Middle School Hoopsters Win Against Eagles

The BMS 7th Grade improved to 2-0 with a 46-14 victory over Jac-cen-del. The Bulldogs put on a crippling press from the opening tip that forced the eagles into a lot of turnovers! Batesville’s physicality remained too much for the opponent. Scoring for Batesville was Jacob Stenger with 12, Gage Pohlman with 10, Cade Kaiser with 8, JJ Holcomb and Will Jaisle both added 5 points. 3 points for Carson Laker. 2 points for Jake Chapman and John Meyer. 1 point for Grant Goldsmith. The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday home, against South Decatur.    

The 8th Grade won a close battle 39-35 at Jac-Cen-Del. The Bulldogs had another hot start leading 11-0 early in the first quarter. Batesville struggled all night with turnovers and foul trouble which lead to a tie game with a few minutes left in the fourth quarter. Gus Prickel, Jack Grunkemeyer, and Sam Johnson had some big points in the 4th to ice the game. Chris Lewis lead the Bulldogs in scoring with 13, followed by Jack Grunkemeyer (12), Gus Prickel (8), Sam Johnson (4), and Conner Drake (2). 8th grade moves to 2-0 on the season.
