The Batesville Bulldogs competed with Whiteland on Saturday Evening 2-1.
The Dogs started with great motivation and focus and rattled Whiteland with a quick goal. 37:47 Ian Powers picked up a loose ball in the midfield, dribbled up and took a quick shot on the frame to open up the scoring. 30:14 Whiteland answered back with an equalizer coming from a breakaway that was tapped around our keeper.
Batesville fought hard the rest of the half and on into the next with great physicality and remaining connected with their head up. Just 2 minutes remaining in the half Whiteland managed to slip away from the defense on a breakaway Ethan Brewer made an impressive save, however, the second ball was followed up and the runner made contact into the net. Batesville loses 2-1.
