The Batesville Bulldogs JV team split a pair of road games this weekend at Franklin County and Connersville.
On Friday night, the Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker 55-54 after coming back and taking a lead with 3.5 seconds left only to lose on a buzzer beater 3. Trey Heidlage and Sam Haskamp both had great individual great performances with 18 points a piece. Haskamp also collected 15 reboudns including 10 offensive. John Harmeyer and Jayden Beal both chipped in with 6 points as well.
Justin Siefert led the team with 4 assists while Justin Nobbe added 3. Outside of Haskamp’s 15 rebounds, John Harmeyer added 6 boards. Defensively, Luke Schroeder and Haskamp both collected 1 block while Trey Heidlage added 2 steals. 1Q: FC 16-14, 2Q: FC 37-25, 3Q: FC 43-35, 4Q: FC 55-54.
On Saturday night, the Bulldogs closed out and beat a very good Connersville team.
Heidlage and Haskamp once again led the team in points with 12 and 10 respectively. Austin Siefert added 7 while John Harmeyer added 6. The team recorded 11 assists on 16 FG makes including 3 a piece from Jayden Beal and Heidlage. Haskamp led the team in rebounds again with 6 while Luke Schroeder added 4. Defensively, Mitch Esser led the team with 3 steals while Harmeyer added 2.

The Bulldogs record is now 6-7 as they head into next weekend playing a pair of home games vs North Decatur and Hauser.
