Bulldogs Hold Off Cardinals in Crosstown Showdown

The BMS 8th Grade Bulldogs defended their home court Thursday night, securing a hard-fought 40-35 win against crosstown rival St. Louis.

Batesville entered the fourth quarter with a 10-point advantage, but the Cardinals mounted a fierce comeback, cutting the lead to just two possessions. The Bulldogs stayed composed under pressure, sealing the victory with clutch free throws and strong rebounding in the final moments.

Isaiah Martin led all scorers, draining four three-pointers on his way to 17 points. Lane Higham contributed 12 points, while RJ Schuerman added nine. Hank Bohman chipped in two points to round out the scoring.

With the win, Batesville improves to 5-2 on the season. The Bulldogs are back in action next Tuesday at home against Jac-Cen-Del.
