Bulldog Grapplers Participate At Rushville Super 5

This Saturday, The Batesville High School wrestling team travelled to Rushville for the Rushville Super 5 Duals. Attending along with Batesville and Rushville were Centerville, Connersville, and Greensburg. The Bulldogs went 0-4 on the day giving up 6 forfeits each dual.

Despite giving up 36 points right off the back Batesville had a good showing in individual match ups with all eight Bulldogs wrestling getting at least 1 win. JT Linkel led the team with a 4-0 record with 3 victories being by pin fall moving his record to 14-2 with 12 pins on the season. Jonah Chase and Abram Garcia each had 2 victories by pin. Ethan Gibbs and Tyler Schaeffer also had 2 victories each with a pin a piece.  Axel Garcia had one victory by pin with Jonathan Lamping and Jacob Weigel each getting a victory a piece.  The Bulldogs have many wresters waiting to return for injury as they continue to improve individually.

Batesville will travel to East Central next Saturday.
