After two cancellations and a lot of patience the Bulldogs were finally able to face off against Knightstown for their final dual meet of the year. This was a special evening as we spot-lited our youth team of thirty from ages 6-11; along with Ben Westerfeld, Jarret Hootten, and Zach Strub for Senior Night. All three seniors wrestled great earning nice wins representing themselves and the Bulldogs extremely well. Ben and Zach both defeated their opponent by pin while Jarret took the long way winning in three periods by a score of 14-9.
As a team Batesville won 6 matches while Knightstown went away with 8 of them. The Bulldogs came up just short falling 32-42 against Knightstown ending our dual season with a 12-11 record.
The team will now travel to South Dearborn for the EIAC matches followed by Sectionals at Franklin County.
