It was a tale of two nights for the Batesville boys freshman basketball team.
The team earned their first win on the season with a 38-29 victory over South Decatur on Monday night.
Jayden Beal had a solid game for the dogs defensively with several steals and other great plays on defense. The team was led in scoring by Luke Schroeder who had 13 points coming of the bench. The boys did much better controlling the boards and not being selfish on offense by finding the open teammate.
Tuesday night the South Dearborn Knights came to town and dropped the Bulldogs to 1-2 on the season with a final score of 43-31.
The Knights came out with lots of effort and hustle that was not matched by the dogs. The dogs made a nice run in the 3rd quarter but never got closer than 4 points.
The freshman boys will be in action again Monday, December 8th at Jac-Cen- Del.
