Batesville travels to South Ripley to sweep the Lady Raiders in all levels of play.
The Lady Bulldog JV team put on an impressive show of offense and serving for the first match of the season. With only two service errors on the evening the dogs rattled off 14 Aces, with top server Maggie Walsman #6, hitting of 18 straight and 6 aces in set two. The team hit @ .347 for the evening.
JV Wins: 25-10, 25-2
Varsity started off in a sweet spot only to be rattled in sets 3 & 4. Sets 1 & 2 saw us hitting our spots on serve, passing well, and running plays. Our composure left us and packed our serving and confidence with it. We error’d at a high rate hitting -.188 for those two sets. Set five wasn’t the most composed, but we somehow found the court with serve and attack. Freshman Kylie Laker #7 had the service high 5 aces on the evening, and 14 digs.
Varsity Wins: 25-20, 25-11, 16-25, 16-25, 15-11
All three teams will travel to Madison this evening with a 5:00 freshman start time. JV and varsity matches to follow.
