Bulldogs Battle Indians In Middle School Hoops Action

The Batesville 7th Grade Boys basketball team fell to 7-2 on the year with a 40-38 loss to Milan.

Both teams were very evenly matched and came out scorching, with Batesville narrowly leading 13-10 at the end of 1. Halftime score 22-15 Batesville. In the 2nd half, The Bulldogs cooled down on the shooting end, and too many unforced turnovers eventually became their downfall.

Scoring for The Dogs; Trenten Luers (11), Cayden Drake (8), Brayden Maple (7), Lincoln Garrett (6), Trenton Jordan (2), Cannon Clark (2), and Ethan Schneider (2).

The 8th Grade Bulldogs Boys Basketball team hosted Milan and won by a final score of 49-27.

The Bulldogs got ahead early in this game and never looked back. After the first quarter, Batesville led 16-4 as a result of a lot of fast break points. Batesville’s defense stayed strong through the first 3 quarters by only allowing 14 total points and created a lot of easy points off of turnovers.

Leading the Bulldogs offensively was Cade Kaiser with 16 points, followed by Jacob Stenger (8), Carson Schneider (6), John Meyer (6), Carson Laker (5), Will Jaisle (4), Grant Goldsmith (2), and Gage Pohlman (2).

It was a total team effort in this win as the Bulldogs improved to 8-1 on the season heading into Winter Break.
