The Batesville High school wrestling team continued on Tuesday with the bulldogs traveling to Madison to face the undefeated cubs. Batesville once again gave up 5 forfeits but was able to increase their starting line up to 9. With only 9 matches being wrestled the Bulldogs were able to once again win the majority of the matches with 5 wins. The forfeits were once again to much to overcome with Batesville losing 48-26.
JT Linkel was the first winner with a hard-fought 8-4 victory at 145. Jonah Chase then followed with an impressive 20-3 tech-fall victory at 152. Josh Mobley got his second pin of the season competing at 152. Freshman Aaron Norman Would earn his first Varsity victory of his career by pin at 195. Tyler Schaeffer would close the night with a pinfall in his first match of the season at 132. Other bulldogs wrestling varsity Nick Nobbe, Alex Garcia, Brandon Manning, and Caleb Bischoff-Niese.
In JV competition Jy’lil Chappel got his first win by pin. Christian Garcia and Parker Glandon also competed in JV matches.
