The 7th Grade Batesville Bulldogs Basketball took home the SEI Tournament trophy Thursday night by defeating Greendale 53 to 44.
Batesville started off slow and went into halftime down 21 to 16. After finding their rhythm in the third quarter they were up 32 to 29. From that point they didn’t look back and scored 21 in the fourth quarter to bring home the victory.
Batesville was led in scoring by Jack Grunkemeyer with 17 points. He was followed by Sam Johnson and Gus Prickel who each added 11. Gus Prickel went 11 for 12 from the free throw line to earn all 11 of his points. Conner Drake and Chris Lewis rounded out the scoring with 8 and 6 respectively.
The Bulldogs finish the season with an overall 13 and 5 record.
