Bulldog Harriers Successful At Jennings County

Batesville traveled to Muscatatuck State Park tonight to compete in the Big Blue Jennings County Cross Country Invitational.

The Boys came in 2nd by just 2 points behind Jennings County 31-33 with Columbus North in 3rd with 60. Awards were given to the top 25 in the race and the Bulldogs has 5 including the meet runner up, Adam Moster (16:30).  He was closely followed by teammate Ean Loichinger in 3rd place (16:32), Joshua Myers in 5th (16:52) and Benjamin Moster placing 6th (17:09).  Also earning a spot in the top 25 was Daren Smith in 17th (17:54). 

On the Girls side, the Batesville Lady Bulldogs took home the championship trophy beating Jennings County 30-46. Madison came in 3rd with 65 points.  The girls had 8 to snag the top 25 spots that received awards, with freshman Ava Hanson leading the way and getting the individual championship finishing at 20:00.  Maria Lopez was the 2nd Bulldog to cross the line in 4th (21:16), closely followed by Sophie Myers (21:21) in 5th.  Trysta Vierling took 9th place (21:40) with Sarah Ripperger in 11th (22:06), Carley Pride in 12th (22:21) and Katie Olsen in 16th (22:30). Finishing out the awards for the dogs was Jada Eisert who placed 23rd.  Congratulations to everyone! 

This Weekend the Bulldogs will be traveling back up to the Indianapolis area where they will be competing at the Riverview Health Invitational in Carmel at Northview Church. Batesville Varsity Boys will compete at 9:55 and the Varsity Girls at 10:25.  The JV races will follow. Good Luck Dogs!
