Batesville ended 2019 traveling to Frankton to face off against 5 none conference opponents. Despite the effort and individual accomplishments, the Bulldogs went 0-5 but not without a fight. The Bulldogs lost 3 of the 5 duals within one match.
Leading the team in wins today was sophomore Josh Mobley at 152 and Senior Axel Garcia at 170 both with 4 pins on the day. Senior JT Linkel went 4-1 all 4 by pin at 145. Alex Murphy got 3 wins with 2 coming from pins. Nick Nobbe had 2 wins by pins while Tyler Schaeffer had 2 wins with one coming by pin. Brandon Manning had one pin while Caleb Bischoff-Niese, Jy’lil Chappel, and Christian Garcia each had a win.
Batesville will open the new year hosting Switzerland county January 2nd at 6 pm followed by hosting Franklin County Saturday, January 4th at 10 am.
