The Batesville 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball won their first home game at BHS versus Jac-Cen-Del by a final score of 49-18.
The Bulldogs came out firing on all cylinders and got a big lead early by creating a lot of turnovers and scoring in transition. Batesville took a 32-4 lead into halftime with Cade Kaiser leading the charge with 17 points. The Bulldogs were well balanced throughout playing unselfish basketball in the half-court and getting good shots. Christian Stenger provided good energy off the bench defensively and helped the team secure the win.
Offensively, Cade Kaiser finished with 19 points, followed by Grant Goldsmith (6), Keegan Walke (5), JJ Holcomb (5), Alex Krekeler (4), Gage Pohlman (4), Jacob Stenger (4), John Meyer (2) and Carson Laker (1).
The Bulldogs will have their next game at BHS versus Brookville on November 23.

The Batesville 7th Grade moved to 2-0 on the year with a 41-22 win over JCD.
Batesville started off slow trying to figure out the 2-3 zone the eagles put out. The halftime score was 18-12. In the 2nd half, Batesville cranked it up on defense tallying numerous steals creating easy buckets on offense. On offense, they started moving the ball and found the holes in the zone. Batesville never looked back from there.
