Buford Honeycutt, of Milan, was born on September 4, 1932, in Hindman, Kentucky, a son to Baxter, Sr. and Elizabeth Calhoun Honeycutt. He attended Little Memory Church and worked over 39 years at Batesville Casket. Buford loved bowling, working in the garden, and listening to bluegrass music. He also enjoyed going out to eat on Saturdays with his sisters. On May 27, 2023, at the age of 90, he passed away at Manderley Health Care in Osgood.
Those surviving who will cherish Buford’s memory include, three sisters, Ruby Kincer of Milan, Betty Jane Shields of Indianapolis, and Shelby Jean Honeycutt of Milan; one brother, Melvin (Marleen) Honeycutt of Milan; several nieces and nephews, and one sister-in-law, Loraine Honeycutt of Sunman. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Baxter Honeycutt Jr., and Paul Honeycutt; two sisters, Cynthia Watts and Inez Steinmetz, and two infant brothers, Jimmy and James.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Little Memory Church Cemetery. Charlie Combs will officiate.
