(Batesville, IN) – Nearly 30 St. Louis Catholic School 8th grade students and staff visited Batesville Tool & Die (BT&D) on Monday.
Toby Walsman with BT&D explained all of the opportunities available in manufacturing other than merely taking raw material and creating a finished product (pictured).
Walsman said there are different career opportunities available beginning with the sales process of getting the orders, to the final process of loading the parts and delivering them to the customer.
The students also took a tour of the facility, and learned about BT&D’s partnership with Ivy Tech Community College, which offers a co-op program.
