(Batesville, IN) – Batesville Tool & Die says its internship program is soaring.
With the company feeling the need for future development and training to continue their success in the stamping and assembly business, they have expanded their technical areas of training and mentorship to youths in surrounding communities.
Program Coordinator Toby Walsman says the goal is simple.
“Get youths interested in manufacturing related to industry. Manufacturing is what this country was built on and will be around long after we are no longer here,” Walsman said. “I’m so happy for every one of these students for jump starting their careers. They are all doing an outstanding job in their fields, and I am extremely proud of their efforts.”
Students who are involved in this year’s internship/co-op program are Clara Black, Maxwell Richardson, Vincent Meneses, Kaiden Eckstein, Carter Wehr, and Noah Davis from Batesville High School; Zach Hoff and Jacob Hilbert from Oldenburg Academy; Clint Nicholson from South Ripley High School; Luke Snyder from Franklin County High School; Plymouth Bowling from Greensburg High School, and Anahi Chavez from Rushville High School.
