Brookville, In. — The Brookville Town Council has voted to support an effort by the Twin Forks Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to secure a grant from the Indiana Office of Rural and Community Affairs for the restoration of the Stone House on First Street.
The total project cost is expected to be around $260,000 and will include a new roof, new windows, a new backdoor, stone re-pointing and front porch removal. Officials expect the work to take about nine months to complete.
The amount sought from IORCA is $224,216.
