Brookville resident to serve as Indianapolis 500 royalty

Indianapolis, In. — Brookville resident, Lauren Koester has been selected as one of 33 princesses the Indianapolis 500. Lauren is a graduate of Franklin County High School and is a senior at Butler University studying business and communications. Following graduation she will pursue a master’s degree in public health.

All 33 princesses receive a $1,000 scholarship and life-long memories through serving as an ambassador at various events from now to race day. She will have the opportunity to participate in pre-race ceremonies, Victory Circle celebration and the 500 Festival Parade.

On May 18 the Queen Scholar will be selected, she’ll receive a $1,500 scholarship.
