Brookville faces potential sewer crisis

Brookville, In. — The Brookville Town Board is looking for solutions to fix a 15-inch diameter sanitary sewer line that serves a large portion of the town. Officials say the line that runs parallel to the railroad, below the slide area on Progress Street is in danger of failing at any moment.

Officials say they are looking for funding sources to permanently fix the problem. If the line does break there is money available to conduct a cleanup.

The project is expected to top the $1 million mark. Officials are working with state officials to find a solution.
