
(Bright, IN) – A Southeastern Indiana fire department is mourning the passing of one of its own.
Bright Fire & EMS Lt. Kevin McKinney lost his battle with cancer on Thursday.
The 53-year-old McKinney served the Bright community for 23 years.
He was EMS Chief and was later promoted to Lt. and department safety officer.
Kevin McKinney leaves behind a wife and three children.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Bright Christian Church, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
After the funeral, a procession to Gibson Cemetery in Bright will take place, with Lt. McKinney taking a final ride in a Bright Fire & EMS ambulance.
