Bright, IN —The Bright Community Festival and the Bright Parade scheduled for July 24and 25 has been canceled due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. The organizers of the event worked up until the last minute to try to have the festival but Governor Holcomb’s recent decision to hit pause on the Back On Track Plan for Indiana and the public safety regulations involved with social distancing, masks, and sanitizing requirements would make it nearly impossible for the organizations to ensure the safety of the patrons due to the large numbers of visitors in attendance.
The Split-the-Pot and Vacation raffles will continue, and we will draw the winners on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at 1 pm. If anyone would like tickets, please stop by the firehouse or call at 812-637-3473.
While this year’s Festival will not be going on as planned, they hope to see you next year on July 23-24, 2021 when the festival returns better than ever.
