UPDATED: Greensburg Walmart Evacuated

Carbon monoxide was leaking into the store from the heating units.

The leak was first detected around 8:30 AM.

Greensburg Fire Chief, Steve Garrett, tells WRBI that the problem has been fixed.

Everyone was evacuated on scene by paramedics.

GREENSBURG, Ind. — WRBI has learned that the Greensburg Walmart has been evacuated, shortly before 9:00 AM.

Greensburg dispatch tells WRBI that the fire department is on scene investigating a situation.

A husband of a store employee, says that a carbon monoxide leaks were discovered in the store.

Employees and customers have been evacuated from the store and loaded onto buses to stay warm.

The fire department is estimating it to be 11:00 am before the store will be open again.
