BPS Kindergarten Registration Scheduled

(Batesville, IN) – Batesville Primary School kindergarten registration and academic screening will take place Thursday, April 10, 2025 in the gym, according to BPS principal Brad Stoneking.

Children must be five (5) on or before August 1, 2025 to enter kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.

On Monday, February 10, 2025, families will be able to go to the Batesville Primary School website at https://batesvilleinschools.com/bps/enrollment/entering-kindergarten/ to pre-register incoming kindergarten students.

Upon approval of pre-registration, families will receive an email with further instructions. After receiving the email, parents should register their incoming kindergarten student online following the forms. At the end of online registration, there will be a link to redirect parents to SignUpGenius. This is the portal where parents will sign-up for a registration and student academic screening time on April 10.

There will be 15-minute registration and academic screening sessions on April 10.

During these sessions, incoming kindergarten students will take a short academic screening assessment. Parents will wait in the gym for students to finish their assessment.

Families will receive a document providing general information about kindergarten, but there will not be a formal presentation this year. The parents/guardians and the child should plan to arrive at BPS together on the day of registration.

Parking is in the west side lot and the entrance is through the gym doors (Door F). The day of registration we will need for families to bring their child and an original birth certificate. If applicable, families should also bring official court custodial paperwork or make sure paperwork is received by August.

Current Batesville Primary School Little Bulldog Academy Preschool families do not need to register online or sign-up for a registration or academic screening time. We have all registration information on file and will utilize preschool assessment data in lieu of the screening assessment mentioned above.

Individuals with questions may contact Batesville Primary School at (812) 934-4509.
