Greensburg, IN — Amy Borns was selected last night by a caucus of Decatur County Republicans to serve as Greensburg City Clerk-Treasurer.
The vacancy was created earlier this month by the resignation of Brenda Dwenger, who will continue to serve as Treasurer of the Decatur County Republican Party.
Eight precinct committee members in the City of Greensburg chose Borns from a field of three candidates.
The other two candidates were Betsy Wiley, who has served as interim clerk-treasurer the past several weeks, and Jody Moore.
A swearing-in date for Borns hasn’t been announced yet.
