BMS Volleyball takes both matches against North Decatur

Batesville’s seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams both finished on the high side of the scoreboard Tuesday over visiting North Decatur.
The seventh grade volleyball team had a sluggish start according to coach Angie Ehrman, but came out with a win 25-16, 25-12.
“In the front row, Ella King had four kills, while Sydney Campbell, Maddie Haskamp, Caitlyn Fox, Claire Niese, and Brooke Wilhelm each had one kill,” recapped Ehrman.  “Top servers were Maddie Haskamp and Brooke Wilhelm with eight points each. Ella Weber and Alexis Gallagher both served four points, Caitlyn Fox had three, Ella King served two and Leigh Hertel added one.
The BMS eigth grade dominated with a 25-11, 25-9 win over the Chargers.
“Ava Walsman earned an impressive 16 service points with seven aces, while Grace Walter chipped in nine service points including five aces while going perfect on all 11 of her service attempts,” said caoch Shelly Prickel. “Addison Luers led our team at the net with five kills followed by Macy Young with two then one each by Jade Martin, Ava Hilbert and Addi Froehling.”
