BMS Volleyball Challenged Jennings County

The 7th-grade volleyball team started flat in game one to lose 23-25 to Jennings County. Then in games 2 & 3 the Bulldogs played with a lot more confidence and showed more aggressive play to win 25-19, 15-12 to earn the win. Earning service points was Vera Flannery with 10 points. Nya Moon had 9 service points. Zoey Mathews had 8 service points. Ella Peetz chipped in 6 points. Adalyn Placke & Reese Richey each had 2 points. From the front row, Nya Moon had 3 kills. Vera Flannery was strong at the net with 2 kills. Adalyn Placke and Zoey Mathews each had a kill. Elsie Koehne also had a kill & a stuff block. Allana Herbert & Brielle Maple continue with strong passing in the back row.

The BMS 8th Grade Volleyball Team battled hard all night vs. Jennings County in a tough road match-up. The team showed great resilience and hustle throughout each of the 3 sets. After dropping the first set 20-25, the Lady Dogs bounced back to take set 2 25-19. The final set was back and forth with the team falling just short by the score of 12-15.

Miki Gutzwiller earned a team-high 9 points including 3 aces, while Breauna Broshears scored 7 points including 3 aces while going a perfect 12 for 12 from the service line. Amelia Vierling contributed 6 points, 3 of those were aces.

Lydia Niese was 14 for 17 at the net with 7 kills, while Maci Smith, Kenzi Lacey, and Breauna Broshears each earned 2 kills in the front line.

The teams will play their final regular season home game on Thursday vs. Connersville.
