The BMS cross country team traveled to Franklin County to take on the Wildcats along with East Central and Greensburg in a 4-way meet on Tuesday, September 10. Seventh grader Elia Wade led the lady dogs with a third-place finish. Other varsity girls placing for the Bulldogs were Bailey Feldmann in 8th, Ana Shane in 9th, Emmalynn Allgeier in 10, Sydney Britton in 12th, Aubrey Weberding in 14th, and Aurdrey Dieckmann in 15th. The girls had a team score of 42 points, good for a second-place finish to Greensburg who won with 37 points. East Central was not far behind BMS, coming in 3rd with 47 and Franklin County was 4th with 116.
The boys’ team was led by seventh grader Cael Luhman who finished 5th overall. Cael was followed closely by Timothy Quillin in 6th place, Coleman West in 8th, Wyatt Essick in 12th, Miles Lawrence in 13th, Duncan Fish in 15th, and Lucas Gadberry in 17th. The boys brought home the win with a team score of 44 points while Greensburg took second with 50 points and East Central in third with 55. Franklin County did not have a full team.
