BMS Cross Country Results at Brown County

The Batesville Middle School cross country team traveled to Brown County to participate in the Eagle Classic Invitational on Saturday, September 21.  Over 30 schools participated in this event, entering almost 200 runners in each varsity race.  The girls stepped to the start line first and they did not disappoint.  Seventh grader Elia Wade led the bulldogs with a third place finish. Ava Wade was next, also earning a spot on the podium in 9th place.  Emmalynn Allgeier had a big personal best, good for 35th place, followed by Bailey Feldmann in 62nd, Sydney Britton 66th, Audrey Dieckmann 68th, and Aubrey Weberding 93rd.  As a team, the lady dogs placed 5th overall with 172 points, coming in behind Greensburgs who posted a winning score of 84, Seymour with 106 in 2nd, Corydon Central in 3rd, and Honey Creek in 4th.

In the boys varsity race, they were once again led by seventh grader Cael Luhman who finished in 55th place for the dogs.  Other varsity members included Wyatt Essick in 80th place, Timothy Quillin in 95th, Coleman West 116th, Lucas Gadberry in 125th, Miles Lawrence in 133rd, and Luke Raver in 137th.  The boys finished in 19th place as a team.
In JV action, the girls placed 5th as a team while the boys team finished 11th.  Annabel Eckstein led the JV runners and earned a ribbon for her 11th place finish.
