BMS CC girls win at Indian Creek, boys second

Batesville Middle School Cross Country traveled to Trafalgar Thursday to participate in a challenging five-way meet against host Indian Creek, Shelbyville, Southwest Shelby and St. Mary’s of Greensburg.  The Bulldog girls won the meet beating runner up Indian Creek 34-44, while the boys finished second to the Braves 31-49.

Batesville’s Deanna Raver reported Cannon Clark of BMS won the boys race with a time of 10:43. Other boys’ finishers included: Lincoln Garrett 9th, Cash Myers 11th, Landon Raver 13th, Howard Hund 15th, Levi Essick 16th, and Winston Garrett 24th place.

The girls were led by Charlotte Trossman who placed 4th overall. Coming in behind her for the Lady Bulldogs were: Maycee Holtkamp in 6th place, Hilary Zeigler 7th, Jayla Bedel 8th, Hailey Pierson 9th, Caitlin Raver 10th and Candace Shane 11th.
