BMS Basketball Wraps Up Regular Season With a Win

Batesville, IN – The Bulldogs 8th grade finished up a great season last night at home against Rushville.

The Bulldogs controlled most of this game by a couple of possessions and held the lead all throughout. Rushville stuck around for the whole game, but a strong defensive effort made way for a 10-1 run in the fourth quarter. That run was just what the doctor ordered, leading Batesville all the way to victory, final score 37-22.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Lane Higman, who led all scorers with 14 pts, 12 coming in the second half. Hank Bohman and Beckett Jones each added seven points, RJ Schuerman scored six points and Jax Negovetich rounded out Bulldog scoring with three points. Deacon Fledderman helped lead the way on the defensive end. Batesville is now 15-4 and will play at South Dearborn on Monday night in the first round of the SEI Tournament.
