BMS’ Ava Wade Highlights Successful EIAC Meet

The annual EIAC middle school cross country meet took place last night and while the Bulldogs weren’t able to take home a trophy, Ava Wade was successful in winning her 3rd individual conference championship! Congratulations to Ava on this very impressive achievement. Other girls earning medals on the All-Conference team were Elia Wade who was the runner-up behind her sister, Bailey Feldmann in 12th, Emmalynn Allgeier in 13th, and Sydney Britton in 15th.  Varsity runners receiving ribbons were Aubrey Weberding in 17th and Audrey Dieckmann in 18th.  Greensburg came in first with a total of 29 points while Batesville was second with a team score of 42 just edging out East Central who came in third with 49 points.

Cael Luhman led the way for the boys team, placing 8th overall and coming away with an All-Conference medal.  Additional boys that made the All-Conference team were Timothy Quillin who placed 11th and Coleman West who finished 13th.  Varsity runners that earned ribbons on the night were Wyatt Essick in 16th place, Luke Raver in 24th, Duncan Fish 26th, and Lucas Gadberry 27th.  The boys did not come away with the championship, but they were in a close fight.  Greendale took the trophy with 61 points while Greensburg was second with 66 points and Batesville was third with 71.

Leading the Bulldogs in the JV race was Annabel Eckstein, who is the JV meet champ, Alyssa Cummings in 2nd, Charlotte Kendall 3rd, Myka Perry 4th, Sydney Holtkamp 10th, Kinley Lanham 11th, Reese Holtkamp 12th, and London Tuttle 13th.  For the JV boys, Nathaniel Fuentes placed 2nd, Salvador Schutte was 3rd, Miles Lawrence 4th, Sam Patterson 6th, Alex Kaiser 7th, Gavin Linville 8th, Grayson Parcell 9th, Nolan Wanstrath 10th, Lane Moody 12th, and Ethan Lanham 13th.
