North Vernon, IN—Jennings County Sheriff Kenny Freeman and North Vernon Police Chief James Webster are committed to making the community a safer place.
The two departments along with Indiana Parole Agents, Jennings County Probation Officers, and Jennings County Jail Officers teamed up and search homes of people on parole and probation while seeking people actively wanted on arrest and parole warrants. Other officers saturate areas with high traffic and conduct traffic stops on people violating traffic laws.
The blitz was conducted on Wednesday and Thursday. This operation resulted in, 28 people arrested on various charges including OWI, arrest warrants, parole warrants, drug charges and resisting.
The public can expect more of these types of activities as Chief Webster and Sheriff Freeman say they will make criminal enforcement a priority.
