NEW MARION, Ind. – The Indiana Air National Guard has scheduled ordnance detonations throughout the day Thursday at Jefferson Range.
Scheduler Johanna Siebenthal says the blasts will occur throughout the day and there will be approximately ten explosions in multiple groups.
“We are required to clean up any ordnance that may be potentially hazardous out here,” Siebenthal said. “So, if it appears as if the ordnance has some kind of active charge left in it we have an EOD team that will dispose of that. They just blow it up right in place so it is no longer hazardous.”
