(Batesville, IN) – Batesville scored five runs in the sixth inning, lifting them over visiting Rushville 9-0 in varsity baseball on Thursday.
Brayden Maple went 3 for 4 with two doubles.
Will Jaisle had two hits including a home run.
Ronan Post also collected a pair of hits.
Batesville had a total of 11 hits in the game.
On the mound, Joshua Borgman got the win. He gave up two hits in five shut out innings, struck out nine and walked two.
Defensively, BHS did not commit an error. Alex Krekeler had the most chances in the field with 11.
The Bulldogs improve to 15-4 on the season and 9-4 in the EIAC. They’ll be back in action Saturday at Bloomington North.
In the JV contest played at Rushville, it was the Batesville Bulldogs over the Lions 10-0 in six innings.
