NORTH VERNON, Ind. — A bicyclist was killed in a crash near North Vernon Saturday evening.
According to the Indiana State Police, Robert A. King, 50, of North Vernon, was riding a bicycle around 9:00 PM when for an unknown reason, he lost control of the bicycle.
King rode into the path of an oncoming SUV driven by Timothy M. Small, 31, of North Vernon and was struck by it after falling off the bicycle.
The Jennings County Coroner’s Office declared King deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
