Betty Jean (Dobson) Collins, age 64, of Greenville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. She spent her last moments surrounded by her family. Betty was born on Wednesday, May 24, 1961, in Batesville, Indiana, daughter of Harry and Bernetta (Lauber) Dobson. She was united in marriage on February 3, 1979, to Kevin Collins. She was a member of the Greenville Christian Church. Betty was an accountant for DMLO. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, and reading. Her greatest moments were spent with her loving family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kevin Collins of Greenville, IN; son Kevin (Leslie) Collins, Jr. of Clarksville, IN; daughter Nicola (Jonathan) Jackson of Greenville, IN; mother Bernetta Dobson of Milan, IN; brothers David (Joyce) Dobson, Jerry (Onidea) Dobson, and Harvey (Nancy) Dobson all of Sunman; sisters Ruth (Doug) Collins and Dana (Ed) Davidson both of Milan; grandchildren Cayleb and MaCayla Jackson, Aly, Jacob, and Ethan Collins; foster children Braiyden, Maddison, and Mackenzie Bruce.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Harry Dobson.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Betty from 2 – 3 PM Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM. A meal will be served at 4:00 PM at the Milan Christian Church, 719 East Carr Street, Milan, IN 47031.
