Batta, Clifford Named Indiana Academic All-Stars

(Indianapolis, IN) – Two local seniors have been named Indiana Academic All-Stars.

Batesville High School’s Megan Batta (pictured) and Wyatt Clifford from Greensburg High School were recently selected as two of 40 students from across the state to receive the honor from the Indiana Association of School Principals.

The program is open to all Indiana Department of Education-accredited high schools.

Each high school may nominate one senior for consideration, and are required to choose nominees based on several criteria, including the number of advanced classes taken, standardized test scores, academic and non-academic extracurricular activities, leadership and community service and involvement.

Several area students were nominated for the award. They are:

  • Mary Blankman, East Central
  • Lydia Cornett, South Ripley
  • Addie Gauck, North Decatur
  • Kelly Glardon, Franklin County
  • Adam Kunkel, South Dearborn
  • Ben Riehle, Milan
  • Clair Schoettmer, South Decatur
  • Sadie Wachsmann, Oldenburg Academy
