Batesville Woman Charged With Stealing From Employer

(Batesville, IN) – A Batesville woman is jailed on felony Theft and Corrupt Business Influence (both Level 5) charges for allegedly stealing from her employer.

Sixty-one-year-old Jennifer Fullenkamp was arrested Friday, one day after the Ripley County Prosecutors Office filed charges against her.

She is accused of stealing more than $50,000 from Scheele Orthodontics while she was employed at the Batesville dental practice.

The arrest comes following a year-long investigation by Indiana State Police with assistance from the FBI.

Investigators say Fullenkamp operated a scheme dating back several years in which she allegedly enticed patients to pay in cash and gave them substantial discounts if they did so, which was not authorized by Dr. Angela Scheele.

Authorities believe Fullenkamp kept the cash and adjusted balances in the database.

She was scheduled to make her first appearance in Ripley Circuit Court this afternoon.

If convicted, Fullenkamp could be sentenced to anywhere from one to six years in prison.
